In Tamaulipas was worked on drilling a deep wellin which satellite technology is used for the first time in the history of the state, with the possibility of finding water, to include it in the distribution network Victoria City.
In the presence of executives from the Semper Group, a company that uses Canadian and Mexican technology and with the support of Ukrainian scientists, the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya, expressed his confidence to be successful in the exploration work, with a large margin of safety , which would make it possible to find a solution in the short and medium term and which one Victoria City does not suffer from the problems of water stress, as happened in other neighboring entities.
“I have a lot of faith in this technology; Semper is a caring and ethical company in its way of working,” the governor emphasized during the ceremony at the well behind Victoria Polyforum.
The governor left open the possibility of bringing the same technology to other municipalities where new water sources need to be found, such as in the highlands of Tamaulipas.
“I am very excited to embark on this exploration, with a large margin of safety for the successes that will be achieved and that we are putting ourselves ahead of the situations we have already seen in other entities, which have been under tremendous water stress. not that it is present in our capital”.
At the event, Daniel David Pechir Rivera, CEO of Grupo Semper, explained the use of this technology to explore groundwater and find supplies, beyond conventional aquifers, up to 2,000 meters deep.
Underground river detected
In turn, Sergey Levashov, Chief Scientist of the Semper Group, explained that in the case of Ciudad Victoria and based on satellite images, an underground river was detected, south of the municipality with sufficient, clean and pure water and two points were discovered for carrying out the drilling work, one between 200 and 400 meters and the other about 400 to 600 meters deep.
“We are confident that we will bring positive results and provide water to the entire city,” the Ukrainian scientist said in his message, which was translated by a member of the Semper Group’s management team.
