They have been found two lifeless bodies in an apartment in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. The fact was revealed a police report where a Canadian couple had their throats slit. The victims suffered neck injuries caused by a razor or a knife, according to the police statement.
However, also a security guard at the site was injured, according to Quintana Roo’s prosecutor’s office. In the apartment where the bodies were identifications with at least three different names of the man, whom authorities say was wanted internationally for fraud.
Quintana Roo shocked by violent events
The authorities have failed determine whether the victims were residents of Playa del Carmen or touristsalthough they are believed to be in the Caribbean since last April.
On January 21, other Two Canadians were killed and one injured in a shooting at a hotel complex near Cancun. The beaches of Quintana Roo, major international tourist recipients, have been rocked by various violent events for years, but mostly they are registered in remote parts of the tourist area; however, attacks in tourist areas have multiplied in recent months.
