The governor, Mauricio Kuri González, met with EXFO’s founder and executive president, Germain Lamone, to learn about the progress of the Canadian company’s project, a telecommunications specialist, which will begin in Querétaro on December 1 ; with an investment of 200 million pesos and generating 235 new highly specialized jobs.
During his visit, the President of State went to the company’s factory in the electronic sector, located in Québec, where he learned the status of what will become the company’s operational center that will be installed in the Querétaro Industrial Park, and a fiber optic will have factory, testing equipment, as well as developing network operations solutions for internet service providers and telecommunication manufacturers.
EXFO Founder and Executive President Germain Lamone recognized that the city of Querétaro is a great place to invest, highlighting the technology and educational programs run by the state government along with the education sector and private initiative.
“It will be our pleasure to be in this city as cooperating citizens in this beautiful city like Querétaro. I think the city is beautiful, technology is very important, along with the school, the Polytechnic University. I think, as I said, this is an investment that’s permanent, it’s a long-term investment. I am deeply committed to achieving our presence in Querétaro”, manifested.
