Mango is hitting the gas in North America. When it announced an expansion plan in the spring to open 30 stores in the United States by 2024, the company is looking even further north and expanding its commitment to Canada. The fashion company will open six stores in Toronto by 2023 and plans to open 20 stores by 2032.
Tycoon Isak Andic’s company reported Wednesday that it had signed an agreement with Israeli conglomerate Fox Group to boost growth in the country. The agreement provides for a first phase in which six new stores will be opened in the city of Toronto for the period 2022-2023.
With a term of ten years, the contract has a second phase in which a minimum of twenty points of sale will be opened as a condition for extending the alliance for another decade.
The pact with Fox Group – which already operates 47 Mango stores in Israel – adds to the association the Catalan company has in Canada with Hudson Bay, the leading department store company. Sealed in 2019, today it has made it easier for the organization to add fifty of its own spaces in its shopping centers.
The lead role is for the United States
The company led by Toni Ruiz adds Canada to its North American expansion. In May, the company announced its growth plan on the continent, which began with the opening of its flagshipat 711 Fifth Avenue in New York.
Mango plans to open more than 30 new retail outlets in the United States over the next three years, especially in the south of the country, to reach about 40 stores by 2024. The planned investment is 100 million euros.
In this way, the company combines both its presence in shopping centers and shops on the street. If the foundation stone was in New York, the second phase of the strategy will move through Florida, where it plans to open between four and five locations between Miami, Boca Raton, Orlando and Tampa by 2023.
During the third phase, which starts in 2023, the company will expand further west with the opening of new stores in the states of Georgia (Atlanta), Arizona (in cities such as Phoenix and Tucson), Texas (Houston and Dallas) , Nevada (Las Vegas) and California, where the target groups for the group are Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose.
Mango also adds 49 stores in Mexico
Those that the organization has in Mexico will be added to the equation. According to the report, it has 49 branches (1 of its own), mainly in corners and shopping centers.
Present in the country since 1994, the last openings took place in December last year with the opening of two outlets in the city of Monterrey offering more than 800 square meters of sales space for the lines Female Y man.
