The powers of the Middle East have several futuristic construction projects in the works and others still in sketches. In this last group there is the MOON projecta gigantic spherical hotel with the appearance of the moon that could be built this century in Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
The structure, an idea of Canadian architects Michael Henderson And Sandra G Matthewsit will be a miniature replica of the natural satellite, as it will imitate its texture, its craters and its illuminated area in each phase of the moon.
According to both specialists, the construction work is going on approx 5 billion dollars and if successful, it could host up to 10,000 tourists in its 4,000 rooms and suites.

In the replica of the astronomical body will be a 20-storey building with different rooms that give users the experience of being on the surface of the satellite.
So, for example, “it will have 10 acres of authentic undulating lunar surface that will contain a very detailed working lunar colony. This particular area will be used for astronaut visits and training,” Henderson explained in an interview with Dezeen, a news specialist. outlet in architecture.
“In the Moon Colony, several international companies and space agencies will showcase their technology,” he added. In addition, it will include “a college campus space.”
All of these areas within the complex, ranging from restaurants to the convention center, will be powered by energy provided by solar panels on the outside of the sphere.

To date, there is no exact location where the Moon project will be built in Dubai; however, some suggest that potential territory could be found in the Dubai Pearl, a coveted piece of land in the Palm Islands, due to its potential tourist attraction.
The first ‘artificial moon’ on Earth
The Moon project in Dubai is the first in a series of hotels in the form of our satellite that the architects under the firm want to build Moon World Resorts.
